Bus Transfers To and From Ponta Delgada Airport

Ponta Delgada Airport is located along the coastline of the island of São Miguel in the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean. The city of Ponta Delgada is situated less than 5 km from the airport and it is easy to get there. 

The options of transfer are few but include rental cars, taxis or buses.

There are no public transport buses servicing the airport, but there are shuttles with frequent departures from the airport ensuring connection with the main sites of the city. These sites include, but are not exclusive to, Av. Principe do Mónaco, Rua de Lisboa, Av. Infante Dom Henrique, Rua João Melo Abreu (Calheta), Av. Dom João III, São Gonçalo, Antero de Quental, and Ramalho. The total number of stops on the route are 21 so most travelers can find themselves nearby their accommodation when using the shuttle bus.

The airport transfer shuttles are operated by ANC Aerobus and they offer both shuttle and private transfer services between the airport and the city. ANC Aerobus uses passenger transport vehicles such as minibuses, 9-seaters, buses and special cars for their transfer.

The bus stop at the airport can be found right in front of the terminal.

Services are available daily between the hours of 07.00-00.00 and they run to and from the city every 40 minutes.

• Children up to 2 years of age travel for free. 
• Children between the ages of 2 and 11 one way ticket: 3.00€

• Seniors over 64 years of age round-trip ticket: 4.00€
• Azores residents one way ticket: 3.00€
• Azores residents round-trip ticket: 4.00€
• Monthly cards – 30 consecutive days (non-transferable): 45.00€ for continuous and unlimited travelling.

Minibus transfer tours, minimum 10 persons:

• Airport – Lagoa, Água de Pau and V Franca – 20.00€ per person
